DWS-18 and DWS-22 are compact wire saws for trimming stone blocks. Compared with a quarry production wire saw, this page is about portability, positioning at the block and a 0–30 m/s wire-speed range.

Both entries show 2200 × 830 × 860 mm machine dimensions and a 0–30 m/s linear-speed range. Their compact size and close weight make power and the actual trimming duty more useful differentiators than footprint alone.
Positioning options for block work
The standard description notes a double-inverter control system for the diamond wire. A laser alignment device is optional for positioning the machine against the block. A mid-rail guide-wheel unit can also be added when the rail needs to extend. Confirm these options before dispatch because they affect setup at the processing yard.
Plan the trim before mounting the rail
- Mark the block dimensions, trim plane and required face condition
- Choose DWS-18 or DWS-22 from the stone, cut area and available power
- Confirm the rail sections and total travel in the final equipment list
- Check whether laser alignment or an intermediate guide wheel is needed
- Match the wire and cooling arrangement to the stone
Trial record
During the first comparable block, record setup time, wire speed, feed behaviour, water delivery, face condition and wire use. A stable trim with documented settings is more useful than a short peak-speed result that cannot be repeated.
